It is the biggest traditional festival of Dai nationality in a year. The Chinese Dai Festival is held in June and July of the Dai calendar (about 10 days after the Qingming Festival). It has been fixed from April 13 to 15 of the Gregorian calendar. During the festival, people splashed water on each other and held activities such as Buddha worship, dragon boat racing, raising the height and lighting Kong Mingdeng.

双击he Dai new year, also known as the water sprinkling Festival, is celebrated for three to seven days. The first day is called "netmold" (death). People think this day is unlucky, so they don't wash their hair, cut their hair or work. Let's go to catch up with the pendulum, race the dragon boat and raise it.编辑文本

The next day is called "wangnao" (smelly meaning). This day is considered unclean. We should bathe, wash our hair, cut our hair, change our clothes, wash the Buddha statues and pagodas. At night, we will hold a parade, set off fireworks and Kongming lights, and send away all the diseases, disasters and dirty things of the year, so as to enter the new year cleanly. In the Dai calendar, these two days are regarded as "empty days", which are not called in the old year or included in the new year.
Thanks
